History
PLANET has more than 20 years experiences in providing Internet and IT solution services in Lao PDR, established in 1998. It has been operating as an ISP since 2001 by using Internet access technology at that time.
Since operating as commercial ISP, PLANET has continuously developed its network to provide the best services to customers. In the year 2011, PLANET deployed WiMax as last mile connectivity for individual and home users as well as dedicated leased line Internet for medium and large businesses. In 2018, The company has changed its name to PLANET Co. Ltd and upgraded all WiMax base station to LTE (Long Term Evolution) and expanded LTE coverage in Vientiane capital. Since the end of 2019, PLANET has deployed shared fiber Internet FTTx services to SME and home users. PLANET will continue to develop and expand its network coverage to provide the best services to customers.
